Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1), PN 20058636, 20058658, 20059552, 20059555, 20059557, 20058458, 20058580, 20058620, 20059573

The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.

What You Will Do:

· You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.

· You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder.

· You will perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.

· You will perform snow & ice operations.

Highway Maintenance Worker 1:

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction

Highway Technician 1:

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
