Job Description:
Provide on-site, network engineering, system administration, operations and maintenance support to ATI7 at CCSFS focusing on all IT and Communication networks, including Government classified and unclassified networks. The individual will implement, manage and maintain the networks and servers and their security to meet government requirements. Provide recommendation for improvements to network and systems. Provide onsite IT support to contractors and government as needed. Coordinate with local and base facilities for phone, network and systems related projects as required. Ensure that all IT related hardware and systems are operational at all times to support ATI7 mission related activities.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and support a MS Windows networked environment with limited Linux, Apache, PHP and MySQL web applications
Maintain file servers, firewalls, switches, security monitoring systems and network documentation as required
Interface with local customers and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems
Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes
Prepare system for operational use and support operational tests
Provide technical guidance
Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for IT team
Manage and operate monitoring tools/capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) and create/tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports
Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for day to day network management, operations and maintenance
Monitor/analyze output of cybersecurity related tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk
Assist in analyzing technical risk, upon request, of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes
Assist ISSM/ISSO/ISSE with the integration and development of new techniques to improve confidentiality, integrity, and availability for networks/systems
Experience:
5 - 8 years related experience
Education:
BA or BS
Certifications:
Must be able to meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level III
Security Clearance:
Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph
Other Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2019 Server, Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware
Thorough knowledge of CISCO network and switching
Thorough knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration including TACLANE network encryption
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio)
Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
Thorough knowledge of Group Policy design and configuration
Working knowledge of VMware ESXi
Familiarity with following supported platforms: Enterprise networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, forensic analysis/vulnerability assessment, scripting, WSUS, MySQL Server / MSSQL, Linux, SEIMs, ACAS / Nessus / SCAP, video teleconferencing/VOIP, and Apache/IIS Web servers
