Branch Supervisor

• Supervise routes, route drivers, warehouse personnel and administrative staff.

• Learn load out with warehouse, all routes and ride along with Route Drivers on each route once per year

• Learn and become efficient in Verizon Connect, Paragon, Xmobility, Xpedium, ERMS, Salient and the driver's handheld computers

• Work with Branch Manager to coordinate quarterly meetings

• Perform yearly driver evaluations

• Work with Route Sales Drivers on selling and providing Point of Sale materials to customers

• Assist in filling out incident and injury reports. Make sure reports are completed properly and routed to the correct people

• Develop and implement driver schedules for holidays, defrost, vacation, and others as needed

• Review dump reports monthly. Work with the Branch Manager and drivers to monitor and reduce dump

• Help with special deliveries as needed

• Fill in on routes or load out when required

• Design routes, with the Branch Manager, to keep them running efficiently

• Make sure the driver route books and build-up pages are kept up to date

• Monitor daily variance reports. Work with drivers to solve variance problems

• Monitor hours worked by the team and approve all overtime.

• Schedule shifts accordingly to make sure route drivers are working 40 hours per week

• Examine trucks on a daily basis to make sure that any damage is reported promptly and accurately

• Be sure that pre and post trips are performed daily by the Route Drivers and that any truck issues are logged accordingly

• Perform random truck inventory on a weekly basis as assigned

• Review Verizon connect on a regular basis to review and track movements

• Review Driver Manual with drivers on a regular basis

• Keep vehicle license and tags up to date. Check vehicle insurance paperwork

• Always look for ways to streamline routes and become more efficient

• Verify proper operation and temperature of refrigerated equipment

• Operates and monitors cleanliness of company vehicles and warehouse/facility

• Mount tire chains on specific tires as needed (subject to weather conditions)

• Schedule fleet washing

• Ensure drivers are following all beginning and end of day procedures

• Develop deep understanding of and be able to teach drivers proper route accounting requirements to ensure accurate inventories

Starting Salary: $78K
