Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Product Manager to join our team. This role requires expertise in multi-functional engineering disciplines and strong exposure to strategy and product planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work across multiple engineering domains and cross-functional teams. Position is to be located in Ann Arbor, Michigan to work as a with local JBPCO engineering teams on a day-to-day basis as a liaison reporting to the Masterack Marketing Director in Social Circle, GA with ~25% domestic travel to GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional business unit teams to ensure seamless integration of new designs and technology into Masterack product line and production processes.
Provide technical guidance to Masterack leadership
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they've met Masterack customer requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain product and technology roadmaps across multiple departments
Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans
Guide the development of the product to balance Masterack customer needs and business goals.
Drive the product- and business-planning processes for cross-functional and cross business unit teams
Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships specific to Masterack products and customers
Assess current competitor offerings and define opportunities for differentiation in market
Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch
Translate Masterack product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering team
Translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
Analyze market data to support sales strategies for effective marketing communications
Collaborate closely with engineering production, marketing and sales teams in the development and release of Masterack Products
Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders. Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in product design or engineering
Minimum of 5 years strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Proven success as a product manager
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
Commercial or automotive vehicle experience
Experience or equivalent transferable experience in vehicle upfits or bodies
Available to travel domestically ~25% Preferred Qualifications:
