LOCATION: Lomax Center

LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Year Round

POSITION SUMMARY: Teaching basic education skills to adult learners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Bachelors Degree

PREFERRED: Someone who can teach adults of varying educational levels.

EXPERIENCE: Teaching experience at the secondary level is a plus but not required.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Basic math skills required to pass the HSE diploma test..

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Record keeping of student's progress in class. Should be able to attend professional development (15 hrs) during the year as required by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Pre and post-test students using the CASAS test.

REPORTS TO: Adult Education Director

MINIMUM SALARY: $25/hour
