Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager oversees the quality control systems within the company's animal feed manufacturing business. This role involves collaborating with plant QC supervisors and operations to pinpoint and integrate quality enhancements to ensure compliance with relevant standards. The individual will be a self-starter who has strong relationship building and management skills. This role is 100% on-site in Muscatine, IA and involves up to 50% travel. Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact for QC supervisors regarding QA/QC issues.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards and procedures.
Review and make suggestions for improvements in SOPs.
Conduct investigations for out-of-specification results and corrective actions.
Perform internal audits and handle consumer complaints.
Develop and implement HACCP programs at plants.
Report findings to corporate Quality team and suggest improvements.
Provide training to QC supervisors and other personnel.
Monitor third-party certification programs. Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree
Minimum of 3+ years of in quality assurance, quality control, or plant management within the agricultural manufacturing industry.
1-2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
Strong knowledge of and exposure to HACCP principles.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to lead teams in a matrixed organization.
