Job Summary:

The Proposal Writer I is a critical function on the Bids & Proposals (B&P) Team within the Business Development (BD) Group. Proposal Writer I will create and revise documents such as bids, technical proposals, market research responses and other technical documents for clients. This position plays a key role in developing quality written documents in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment as part of a high-performing team.

Duty Station: Oklahoma City, OK

Travel: Up to 10%

Duties/Responsibilities:

Composes high quality and responsive technical documents such as bids, technical proposals, market research responses and other technical documents for business opportunities.

Formats proposals to meet client requirements.

Supports Chloeta's various BD strategies and initiatives by producing high quality and technically responsive proposals and related materials that articulate Chloeta's strategic messaging in a clear and persuasive manner:

Writes clear, compliant, compelling, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections.

Carefully checks work for grammatical errors, inaccuracies, and consistency.

Ensures content aligns with solicitation requirements.

Adjusts tone and verbiage to meet client needs and to ensure understanding.

Consult Project Management Organization, Subject Matter Experts (SME) and BD Senior Managers regarding specific processes, capabilities, and proposal requirements.

Conducts and documents research on a variety of topics to include market competitors, technical processes, and Chloeta's service offerings.

Organizes writing processes to meet inflexible and demanding project timelines and proposal deadlines.

Participates in daily and weekly collaborative meetings within the BD Group.

Incorporates feedback and comments from B&P leadership, Senior Management Team (SMT) and clients to continually improve proposal library and proposal creation processes.

Keeps BD Group leaders informed of progress on B&Ps and follows Group processes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Costpoint and other technology platforms. Education and Experience:

Required: Some college and three (3) years of relevant experience

Required: Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with frequent deadlines

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant employment experience Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
