JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator is crucial in managing both inbound and outbound shipments, reconciling purchase orders (PO), and compiling and tracking departmental information as needed. This position serves as a liaison to the Property Manager, ensuring accountability for inbound and outbound government and company-owned property in accordance with contractual requirements. The Logistics Coordinator also assists in coordinating daily logistical and materials operations, which include inventory control, property management, receiving, identification, storage, and disposition as required. Additionally, they track orders and confirm delivery schedules by consulting with supervisors regarding overdue materials and parts while providing updates on the status of purchase orders.

The Logistics Coordinator must maintain accurate records of all transactions, adhering to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company and departmental policies and procedures. This role actively supports and upholds the company’s vision, mission, and core values while contributing to a culture of safety, integrity, and excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as an expediter to resolve delivery challenges, maintain outstanding Purchase Orders (POs) records, communicate with vendors, and update reports as required.

Review PO data to determine shipping info accuracy and parts that require extensive follow-up or rescheduling and maintain communication with all stakeholders to ensure awareness.

Enter and review data from various databases to maintain accurate records on all material and equipment in transit.

Able to perform extensive research and cross-reference various pieces of information to locate vital information or identify potential delays.

Familiarize with all relevant and applicable standards and laws that directly and indirectly affect logistical movements.

Prepare and review all necessary documentation for proper movement and tracking of materials and equipment.

Assists with internal and external audits and performs related and other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Track departmental personnel and property as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or an equivalent level of education is required.

A minimum of three years of experience in supply chain management, logistics property management, and/or warehouse management is necessary.

Previous experience with government contracting, particularly in the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) or Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP), is preferred.

Candidates must have knowledge in four core areas: distribution management, material management, property control management, and contingency operations.

Intermediate computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, office equipment usage, and familiarity with Maximo Asset Management software.

Proficiency in Excel and Word at an above-average level is essential.

A general understanding of FAR 52.245 and principles of Supply Chain Management is necessary.

Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of company terminology and procedures related to supply chain and property management.

Effective communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage respectfully via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

The ability to maintain professional relationships with employees and external individuals and agencies is important.

Candidates should be self-starters who take ownership of their daily responsibilities and contribute positively to the team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

The work location is in an extremely hot, austere, and potentially hostile environment.

May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
