Structural Engineer $80,000-$125,000 Princeton, NJ Revive Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded engineering firm to find a skilled Structural Engineer with a passion for infrastructure, analysis, and design. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact bridge and transportation projects with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
What you'll do:
• Perform nonlinear analysis on existing suspension bridges
• Develop 3D finite element models from design drawings
• Conduct influence line analysis and identify worst-case load effects
• Write custom code to determine global live load patterns
• Perform load rating using AASHTO LRFD, AASHTO MBE, and other manuals
• Analyze structural capacity of trusses, gusset plates, and RC components
• Design and detail RC culverts, footings, and retaining walls
• Conduct cost estimation and quantity take-offs for railway bridge projects
• Evaluate structural stability, including corrosion-impacted piers
What You'll Have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Bridge and Tunnel Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in bridge or structural engineering (long-span bridge experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO MBE design and rating methodologies
• Hands-on experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, or similar)
• Ability to perform nonlinear analysis and influence line evaluations
• Familiarity with structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete components
• Skilled in developing or modifying scripts or code (e.g., MATLAB, Python) to support engineering tasks
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• EIT certification required; P.E. license preferred or willingness to obtain
