ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Procurement Manager candidates who will ensure all purchases are done and tracked until their delivery. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:

Develop, hone, and execute new and/or improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.

Delegate tasks and supervise the work of purchasing and procurement across all departments.

Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the Government of any possible obstacles to the procurement process.

Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics.

Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.

Coordinate deliveries.

Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation. SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:

Five (5) years of recent specialized experience in purchasing management.

Strong knowledge of government contract structure and execution.

Strong knowledge of supply chain management.

Proven history of developing effective inventory management.

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.

Work well independently or as a member of a team environment

Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, OR Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) years of recent specialized experience.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
