Réalta Technologies are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Automation Engineer to support a Medical Device client of ours based in Raynham, MA, USA. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in automation engineering, with strong expertise in manufacturing equipment, coding (preferably Allen Bradley), and IT systems. This role requires a technical leader who can also manage a small team, ensuring seamless integration of automation systems with higher-level plant systems like MES and PI. The position will require the candidate to have a weekly presence on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee automation projects from concept to completion.

Design, program, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems, with a preference for Allen Bradley.

Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with MES, Pi, and other higher-level plant systems.

Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing equipment for improved efficiency and reliability.

Provide technical leadership and manage a small team of automation engineers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Maintain and improve IT infrastructure related to automation, ensuring robust networking and cybersecurity practices.

Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and system architecture.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Job Requirements:

5-8 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming (Allen Bradley preferred).

Familiarity with a range of manufacturing equipment and industrial automation systems.

Proficiency in IT systems and networking, including cybersecurity considerations.

Experience integrating automation systems with MES, PI, or other higher-level plant systems.

Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience, managing a small team.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
