We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic leader to join our team as a Factory Operations Manager. In this pivotal role, you will ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all associates while driving initiatives to eliminate environmental, health, and safety incidents. You will manage and mentor Factory Production Supervisors, influencing operationally critical roles such as Manufacturing Engineers and Material Planners to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your strategic vision will guide the identification, implementation, and tracking of both long- and short-term strategies aimed at enhancing financial performance, manufacturing excellence, materials management, and inventory control. You will lead regular strategic and operational reviews, prioritize resource capacity, and maintain positive employee relations in adherence to collective bargaining agreements. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Ensure a safe working environment for all associates and strive to eliminate any environmental, health, and safety incidents.

Manage the activities of the Factory Production Supervisor(s) to include people leadership and career development.

Influence other operationally critical roles, including Manufacturing Engineer(s), Material Planner(s), and Production Planners.

Identify, implement, and track both long- and short-term strategies that ensure positive results in the areas of financial performance, manufacturing excellence, materials management, and inventory control.

Determine and monitor the focus factory's overall resource capacity (personnel and equipment) and set priorities to maintain production expectations.

Lead regular strategic and operational reviews for the factory. Drive results and effective countermeasures for misses to the plan in all areas, with particular emphasis on Safety and Quality.

Responsible for department budget development and performance.

Maintain positive employee relations and adherence to the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) contract provisions, takes proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required, assists supervisors in handling first-step grievances, and partners with PCBP to conduct second-step meetings.

Responsible for successfully leading the launch of new product introductions and projects into the factory.

Maintain and enforce adherence to all Company policies and safety standards.

Management and organizational development of salaried employees within team.

Responsible for driving continuous improvement utilizing VBS (Vontier Business System) principles. Active participation and leadership on continuous improvement teams (kaizens).

Assure efficient and economic utilization of materials, improvement of manufacturing processes and elimination of wasteful practices within the department. Qualifications:

WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years' experience in a leadership role in Operations (previous direct supervision of production associates preferred).

Manufacturing experience required, union manufacturing preferred.

Prior experience in front-line supervision is highly desired.

Proven track record of driving results and continuous improvement.

Prior experience utilizing Lean / Six Sigma tools is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong communicator

Technically capable of grasping new concepts quickly.

Sense of urgency regarding continuous improvement and production demands.

Function effectively as a team member in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
