Description
Position Summary:
The CPS Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for executing purchase activities, including special order procurement, inter-branch material transfers, and supply replenishment. This role ensures seamless procurement operations within the CPS division by maintaining accurate purchase records, resolving invoice discrepancies, and supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of managing administrative and sourcing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute all special order purchases and material buyouts upon receipt of approved PO request forms.
Coordinate and input inter-branch material transfers based on branch needs.
Monitor, expedite, and update purchase orders for special-order items.
Partner with Accounting to resolve invoice and billing discrepancies.
Maintain adequate inventory of office and administrative supplies.
Negotiate office supply pricing with vendors and manage purchase contracts.
Interact daily with internal departments (Install, Accounting, CPS Production) and external vendors.
Support the Install Department with material sourcing and PO entry for job-related buyouts.
Perform general administrative support duties and contribute to departmental projects. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or estimating.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel; familiarity with ERP or procurement software preferred.
Ability to quickly and comfortably navigate computer systems and platforms. Working Conditions:
Standard full-time schedule: minimum 40 hours per week, in-office.
Fast-paced office environment with frequent collaboration across departments.
Occasional visits to warehouse or production areas may be required. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional walking or standing to move between office and warehouse areas.
Must have adequate hand dexterity and visual acuity for data entry and document handling.
