Demand Planner

JOB SUMMARY:

Liberty Safe is seeking an experienced and analytical Demand Planner to help lead the development and execution of an enhanced demand planning process. This role will play a key part in improving our ability to forecast purchases-especially steel-and ensuring alignment between production, purchasing, and inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and manage demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence tools

Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to align forecasts with business objectives

Improve forecast accuracy and contribute to better inventory management and purchasing decisions

Use SQL to query large data sets and build robust analytical models

Design and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI to support data-driven decision-making

Optimize the use of planning tools including Excel and other demand planning software

Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in demand planning within a manufacturing environment (steel demand planning or purchasing experience a plus)

Strong skills in SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and Excel

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus

Solid understanding of demand planning principles and supply chain processes

Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
