What You'll Do:
As a SIPR Cloud/Software Engineer, you'll help design and deploy secure, cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure and Azure Government platforms. You'll collaborate with engineers, DevOps professionals, and product teams to architect and build high-performance, cloud-native services that meet mission-critical demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable applications in Azure and Azure Government environments
Build and deploy microservices using modern software patterns (e.g., containerization, serverless)
Integrate cloud services to optimize system performance, security, and scalability
Work with DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
Manage cloud infrastructure resources: compute, networking, storage, and databases
Automate deployments with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Implement secure coding practices, vulnerability mitigation, and cloud-native security controls
Support application monitoring and logging using tools like CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus
Contribute to agile development teams and follow best practices in source control, testing, and code reviews Requirements:
5+ years of experience in cloud development or software engineering
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.)
Strong experience with Azure and/or Azure Government platforms
Knowledge of building cloud-native apps using microservices, containers, and serverless architecture
Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, databases, etc.)
Understanding of API development, SDLC, and agile methodologies
Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform
Experience with cloud database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, CosmosDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
Solid understanding of application and cloud security best practices
Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools
Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially when working across technical and non-technical teams
Active Secret Clearance
DoD 8140 compliance - CompTIA Security+ (or higher equivalent) Preferred:
Azure Cloud Certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400)
DevOps, Security, or Cloud-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Certified Kubernetes Admin)
