Position Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and support production goals. Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization
Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Develop new processes or modify existing ones to accommodate new products or production goals.
Utilize tools like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis to identify and eliminate process inefficiencies. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects, downtime, or inefficiencies.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to implement effective solutions to process issues. Project Management
Lead process improvement projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Prepare project documentation, including process flow diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical reports. Quality Assurance
Work with quality assurance teams to ensure processes meet regulatory and internal quality standards.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and quality metrics. Equipment and Technology Integration
Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment or technologies.
Train production staff on new processes and equipment operations. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
Ensure processes adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards. Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Technical Skills
Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Familiarity with process control systems and data analysis tools.
Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA, EPA). Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
