IT System Administrator - Cybersecurity & Server Support- SDA

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $70.66-$75.66/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

Manage server and system administration for mission-critical environments, supporting both operational readiness and cybersecurity compliance.

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux-based servers and infrastructure.

Perform hardware and software configuration management and version control.

Support Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including continuous monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.

Conduct security audits, monthly scans, and assist with vulnerability assessments.

Identify and address system vulnerabilities throughout the lifecycle, coordinating with Cyber Engineering and cross-functional teams.

Respond to security incidents and perform cleanup actions according to company or customer protocols.

Ensure systems comply with internal security policies and procedures as defined in the System Security Plan (SSP).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field required; or equivalent experience.

Master’s degree with 6+ years or Bachelor's with 8+ years of relevant experience.

U.S. Citizenship is required per Federal regulations.

Experience administering RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), including installation, configuration, and ongoing support.

Skilled in VMware, Docker, and general network administration.

Proficient in scripting with Ansible, Bash, and Python.

Experience with DHCP, NFS, and third-party software installation for system and cybersecurity functionality.

Familiarity with system hardening tools such as STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus.

Working knowledge of STIGs, vulnerability resolution, and AFT (Assured File Transfer) procedures.

DoD 8570 IAM Level I compliant certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
