About the Company Hiring: Our client is an industry leader in advanced manufacturing with headquarters in Western NY.

About the Job: Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Site Procurement Manager will oversee all procurement activities for a key site, including supplier management, purchase order placement, and alignment with operational goals. This role will focus on driving standardized processes, governance, and tools across the procurement team while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The Site Procurement Manager will also act as the primary escalation point for procurement-related challenges and collaborate with other sites to share best practices. A critical component of the role is translating strategic goals into actionable KPIs and fostering accountability throughout the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement managers to achieve organizational objectives.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, cost, and delivery.

Collaborate with production and planning teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and lower carrying costs.

Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

Develop strategic plans to meet business objectives through continuous improvement initiatives.

Establish and monitor procurement goals and metrics, driving accountability across the team.

Deploy standardized processes and tools to enhance site performance and efficiency.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing training and development opportunities for team members. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

7+ years of progressive Supply Chain experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.

Experience managing large teams, leading change, and navigating ambiguity in dynamic environments.

Knowledge of U.S. government regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, ITAR, EAR) related to procurement and contracts.

Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in continuous improvement tools. Six Sigma/Lean training is a plus.

Strong business and financial acumen with an understanding of Supply Chain impacts on organizational performance.

Job Status: Direct hire, onsite role based in Buffalo, NY.

Compensation: $135,000 - $185,000 base salary.
