The Liquidity Tracker and Shells Team within Data Operations plays an integral role in managing the firm's trading and investment manager reporting databases.
As a Team Lead of the Liquidity Tracker and Shells Team, you will oversee a small team of Analysts and Associates focused on the set-up, maintenance, and accuracy of entities on the firm's proprietary liquidity database.
Team Leads work closely with the Data Operations Team Management Team to turn strategy and goals into action and measurable results.
Team Leads train, support, guide, coach, problem solve, and make first line decisions that directly impact the firm's internal operations and service for our clients.
Team Leads are also instrumental in driving departmental progress by implementing process improvements and leading cross-functional projects to advance the business.
Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the operations of a small team under the direction of a Manager.
* Manage up by promptly escalating potential problems, risks, and performance concerns to Manager.
* First-level supervisor responsible for resolving issues with internal stakeholders and external investment managers.
* Develop training materials/plans and onboard new staff.
* Use comprehensive knowledge of team best practices, industry standards, and data calculation methodologies to provide day-to-day support to staff.
* Provide guidance, leadership, and oversight for outsourced data entry functions to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Work with Managers to scope new initiatives, organize work, and delegate tasks to Associates.
* Hold weekly check-ins with team members to communicate updates and weekly targets.
* Monitor progress towards ad-hoc, quarterly, and annual team goals.
* Hold team members accountable by providing direct and timely feedback and coaching.
* Collaborate with Team Leads and Management on department meeting and quarterly goals update presentations.
* Participate in the Analyst and Associate recruitment process by interviewing job candidates and sharing feedback.
* Independently execute the most complex components of the Associate role, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
* Independently lead cross-functional department teams to drive process improvements and advance business objectives.
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (BS/BS) with 3+ years relevant professional experience in finance, operations, data management, data analysis, and/or process improvement.
* Lead-by-example individual with a demonstrated interest in operations management, people management, leadership, and coaching.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
* Proven ability to improve processes, produce data-driven analysis, and create engaging presentation materials.
* Proven ability to independently organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
* Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of clients and stakeholders, providing high-quality support and solutions.
* Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and urgency.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas and functions (e.g., IF, AND, OR, NOT, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, AVERAGE, MEDIAN, MODE, STDEV, VAR), Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Charts, and Pivot Tables.
* Experience with Box, Asana, and Confluence is a plus.
