Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the GM of Hospitality, this position involves taking food and beverage orders from guests, preparing the ordered beverages, serving guests, and supervising banquet servers. The individual will also be responsible for the banquet department when the General Manager is off-site.

The following list of duties and responsibilities is meant to illustrate the tasks performed by this position and is not exhaustive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The role involves assigning daily duties and assignments before, during, and after shifts. The individual will train staff and set expectations and priorities regarding employee performance. Responsibilities also include presenting menus to guests, answering questions, and offering food and service recommendations. The position requires performing cash register duties as needed and ensuring that proper cash handling procedures are followed. Additionally, the role includes ensuring compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures, including those related to security, safety, and emergency processes.

A key aspect of the position is providing a positive dining experience for guests, which includes greeting them in a friendly and warm manner. The individual will tend to patrons' needs, respond to additional requests, and determine when a meal has been completed. The role also involves assisting with quarterly inventory and overseeing event setup, as well as resetting the space after the event. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the entire work area is another essential responsibility.

The position may require seating guests, bussing and setting tables, and keeping the dining area free from debris. The individual must maintain good communication with co-workers and contribute to a positive and professional work environment. As necessary, the role will involve performing duties of banquet servers. The individual will also work to create and maintain a friendly atmosphere, performing other duties as required and working in different areas of food and beverage operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

A High School Degree or GED, along with at least three years of experience in the restaurant or food service industry, is required. The individual must be at least 19 years of age and possess current alcohol server certification. A clean criminal record is necessary, with no felony, theft, or stealing convictions. The individual must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background investigation. Native American preference will be given.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

The individual should possess knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations, as well as customer service. A thorough understanding of all menu items, including entrees, side dishes, beverages, and desserts, is required. The position demands the ability to set work schedules and lead personnel. Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak clearly in basic English, are essential. Outstanding guest service must be consistently demonstrated, and the ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while servicing customers is crucial. The individual must be capable of following instructions and working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent customer service skills and proficiency in using computer equipment and POS systems are also necessary.
