Description:

The Office Coordinator is responsible for patient workflow operations, which include patient registration, pre-authorization, scheduling, insurance plan of care, etc. They also perform a variety of routine and complex clerical and secretarial duties to support the clinic's functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Supports daily clinic operations such as patient scheduling, pre-registering and registering patients, maintaining patient medical records, order management, conducting follow-up phone calls to ensure patient satisfaction, and obtaining pre-authorizations as appropriate efficiently and timely.

Assists in maintenance of office supplies and equipment as needed

Maintains usage of timely and appropriate communication skills in all forms with patients, families, or other persons.

Manages time well to be able to serve multiple projects.

Performs duties with the appropriate level of self-motivation, independent judgment, and willingness to work as a team.

Provides oversight, support, and accountability for all front desk functions provided by all front office assistants, if applicable.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in business or related field preferred.

Experience:

Two years secretarial/clerical experience required. Insurance pre-certification and management experience preferred.
