Procurement Representative

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Procurement Representative to work with a top energy and utility company in the Columbus, OH area. This company is highly reputable with several awards for growth, equality, and safety. Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is looking for dedicated workers and experienced equipment operators for this role.

This is a full-time, long-term position with growth opportunity.

This position is office based in downtown Columbus.

Job Summary

Provide operational procurement services to business partners within Tier 1/Tier 2 Transactions group.

Review purchase requests and determine appropriate procurement method.

Execute basic to medium-complexity purchasing activities on behalf of business partners.

Reassign complex or high-value purchase requests as needed.

Resolve medium-complexity procurement issues for Supply Chain operations, business partners, and suppliers.

Offer Tier 1/Tier 2 support in the Issue Resolution group via direct access, phone, and email.

Refer complex issues to higher-tier group members for resolution.

Support performance metric tracking and reporting to ensure efficient customer support.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

Execute basic and medium-complexity procurement transactions to support operational efficiency.

Source requisitions and issue purchase orders, including blanket POs, in accordance with company policies.

Update purchase orders in response to change orders and other modifications.

Obtain and process supplier purchase order acknowledgements.

Maintain strong business partner and supplier relationships while supporting category strategies.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain COE, Strategic Procurement, and business units on sourcing events, projects, and process improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or related field

OR 4 years of relevant procurement or service center experience

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in customer service and/or procurement roles

Additional Requirements

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Proficient in procurement systems

Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset

Ability to influence and build credibility

Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and tools
