Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and people-centered Director of Human Resources to lead and evolve our HR practices in alignment with our mission and values. This role is key to developing a strong, value-driven workplace culture and ensuring we attract, retain, and support a diverse and dedicated team. The Director of HR will oversee all aspects of human resources, from compliance and employee relations to talent strategy and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies that support the goals and mission of Creative Foundations

Lead recruitment and retention efforts to attract and keep high-quality, mission-aligned talent

Oversee performance management, employee engagement, and career development programs

Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all HR practices and policies

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and licensing requirements

Manage employee relations issues with empathy, discretion, and professionalism

eview and manage compensation, benefits, and wellness programs to support employee well-being

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR reporting systems

Coach and support managers and leaders across the organization on HR-related matters

Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment that reflects our core values

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred

2+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

Strong understanding of HR laws, compliance, and best practices (experience in service-based environments is a plus)

Demonstrated success in building inclusive cultures and effective teams

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
