POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supervision and management of all facets of the merchandising, shelf set, special event, and sign making functions. This position oversees, coordinates and manages the implementation of all sales, service and marketing objectives within the sales support team. Duties consist of budgetary responsibility, tracking, measuring and communicating key operating indicators within department. It also requires the development of individual performance pays programs with specific goals & targets designed around optimal productivity and assistance to selling team efforts. The Sales Support Manager is responsible for training, hiring and evaluating all personnel and may include the utilization of resource management tools such as the ABI Merchandising Platform, Shelf Set Tracking & Measurement Detail including ABI Space Management B-U-D Accuracy, Special Event Documents (Pre, Post, and Year End Summary Documents), GPS, Ontrak and CPC Measurement. This position is responsible for adhering to and holding their direct reports accountable to all company policies, standard operating procedures, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

Manage and coordinate the execution and customer service expectations of the merchandising team for the entire market
Facilitate and contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate shelf set opportunities, new products and explain product features.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
Perform administrative duties, such as preparing the necessary budgets (merchandising, sign making, trade spending and reports, keeping reset records and filing expense account reports.
Oversee the planning and execution of shelf set in retail stores for the entire market. Track and measure reset results (space, placements, and supplier requirements) and make recommendations to retailers to improve the placement and space for our products in their coolers. Coordinate all chain set execution and fulfill and necessary reporting to suppliers for NRS sets.
Manage the sign making room to ensure it functions within approved budget to meet the needs of the sales department to execute in the market.
Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, space and shelf positioning.
Responsible for training and development according to company standards. Ensure all direct reports complete training requirements.
Know and understand all competitive pricing.
Maintain positive customer relations.
Provide sales support personnel with the tools they need to conduct their job at the highest level.
Weekly, if not daily interaction with Sales Managers to identify market opportunities and prioritize areas of focus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)
Experience: Two to four years related experience
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Certificates & Licenses: Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC); Valid Driver’s Licenses.
Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report must meet insurance company guidelines.
