The Role
As a hands-on Business Intelligence (BI) Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across client organizations. This is not a purely strategic or oversight role-we're looking for someone who enjoys working directly with the data, building scalable solutions, and solving complex problems through engineering.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and offshore development teams to turn data needs into working, impactful BI solutions. This includes building data models, writing data pipelines, and creating dynamic dashboards and analytics tools. You'll work across a wide variety of projects and datasets-healthcare, retail, finance, higher-ed-and be expected to bring curiosity and technical depth to each one. The BI Architect will also provide leadership to delivery teams, enforce BI best practices, and help shape a modern, efficient, and forward-thinking analytics environment.
Work You'll Do
Design, develop, and implement business intelligence and data analytics solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, reporting layers, and visualizations
Develop and deliver solutions that go beyond dashboards-automation, insight delivery, embedded analytics, and decision support tools
Create and optimize logical and physical data models to support reporting and analytics needs, ensuring data consistency and accuracy
Build robust, scalable data processing to integrate data from cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or third-party sources
Work directly with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT partners to gather requirements and rapidly translate them into technical BI solutions
Collaborate closely with offshore developers and engineers to coordinate delivery, review code, and maintain alignment on architecture and standards
Monitor and tune BI performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for scalability and data freshness
Evaluate, pilot, and implement new BI tools and technologies to keep solutions current and future-proof
Promote the effective use of BI platforms across the organization through training, documentation, and mentorship
Lead and support a team of BI developers, analysts, and engineers while also contributing as an individual contributor
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture roles, with at least 3-5 years in a BI Architect or similar role
Expertisein BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms;proficiencyin SQL, data modeling, and ETL tools like SSIS, Talend, or Informatica
In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks)
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, including data storage, data pipelines, and analytics services
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Experience inestablishingdata governance frameworks, data quality management, and data security practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
Relevant certifications in BI tools, data architecture, or cloud platforms are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, etc.)
Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

The estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan, majority employer-paid benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
