Nature of Work:

Responsible for production and management motion graphic elements across KSE properties, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Mammoth. Will work in tandem and collaborate with other KSE departments and properties, including Altitude TV, Altitude Radio, Marketing, Ticket Sales, Sponsorship, Basketball Operations, Youth Basketball, and Community Relations.

Examples of work performed:

Work with Content team, Digital Video Editor, and department leads to capture timely and unique video content around the team and tailored to intended social and digital platforms

Assist in development of the look, feel, and design for videos to create and maintain a look that is distinct and recognizable

Coverage of games, practices, morning skates, and other team events as assigned

Capture, produce and edit video as necessary

Combining photography with video capture to enable storytelling through multiple mediums

Work collaboratively, in alignment and in support of various external departments, such as the front office and team PR team, Community Relations, Marketing, Sponsorships, Ticket Sales, Retail, Youth Basketball, Altitude Sports, and others.

Develop layouts and storyboards

Responsible for assisting in collaborative ideation meetings with social and video teams.

Responsible for the management and organization of motion graphic content to allow for easy and quick file-sharing access.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer, mobile phone, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel. Flexible office environment. Evening or weekend work required.

Qualifications:

Minimum

High School Degree or equivalent

Minimum of three years experience with Motion Graphic Design

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred

BS/BA degree in Digital Media, Video Production, Communications, or a related field

Experience with streaming and multiple video platforms preferred

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to meet project and editing deadlines.

Strong communication and collaboration, working effectively with team and members.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint software applications, required.

Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and more (3D software knowledge is a plus).

Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner

Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing environments

Compensation

Base salary/hourly range $23 - $25 per hour

Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
