Role Summary:
Key responsibilities include customizing and optimizing Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components to meet business needs. This role will handle data management, integrate Salesforce with external systems, and build custom applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with requirements and troubleshoot any issues. Additionally, the Salesforce Developer will document processes and third-party integrations with existing systems. This position will stay updated on Salesforce releases. Additionally, the Salesforce Developer will handle third-tier escalations for more complex issues, providing advanced support when needed.
This position reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer but will work day-to-day under the guidance of an external Salesforce Architect.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or Salesforce Trailhead and certifications combined with development experience in classroom learning.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Salesforce development with strong expertise in Visualforce, Flows, and Salesforce Lightning. Preference to experience with highly customized and integrated Salesforce instances. Preference also to experience using Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce development tools. Must have expert skills with Salesforce Person Accounts.
Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer (I or II) certifications are a plus.
