Description
Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) seeks an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to develop automated pipelines for data center/cloud environments and support automated build, test, and release deployments. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site in San Diego, CA.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, write, and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Cloud Native development
Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools like GitLab
Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment, such as Docker
Participate in the development of advanced CI / CD processes to support deployments
Participate in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible
Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters in our on-premises cloud environment
Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency + repeatability
Actively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortem culture
Requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline and 6 to 8+ years of relevant experience
Experience using DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, GitOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Fortify, Sonarqube, Chef/Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins
Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management tools
Understanding of AWS cloud services
Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems, such as JIRA
Experience with UNIX and/or Linux
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science
Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance
Security+ 8570 certification
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
AWS or similar Cloud Provider Experience
Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, and Redis
Strong Linux and Networking background
Software development experience with C++/Java
Security Clearance:
Must currently possess Top Secret/ SCI clearance.
Salary Description
$130,000.00 - $210,000.00 plus eligible benefits
