The anticipated salary for this position starts at $90,700. The final pay will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications, experience, education, and years within the job or industry, with a strong emphasis on maintaining internal equity.

What we are looking for:

As a Scrum Master at KU Endowment, you will support our DevOps team in the lifecycle of our CRM and project operations. We are a data as mission critical organization looking for a proactive experienced individual who can support our Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, and data products. This position will be a key player in the information systems department to support our product owners to implement, develop and support multiple software solutions. This role is key to providing highly available, reliable and secured services to fundraising staff. The role will work with collaborative product owners, solutions engineers, teammates and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to optimize use of data applications towards the mission of KU Endowment.

What’s a typical day look like?

Facilitates the Agile Scrum projects for our development teams.

Ensures adherence to Scrum framework best practices.

Coaches team members.

Manages project timelines.

Works closely with product owners to coordinate new and existing enhancements.

Schedules and facilitates Scrum rituals of daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Administrator for Jira boards. Ensure that scrum tools are updated and meeting team requirements.

Provides team performance analysis data via burndown charts and other portfolio tools which directs team improvements.

Manages and aids in clearing external blockers and any roadblocks.

Regular and reliable attendance is essential for this position.

Performs other duties as may be assigned.

What’s required to be considered:

Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related technical fields.

Three years’ experience working as a Scrum Master on a DevOps product team.

Certified Agile Scrum Master

Demonstrated experience using Jira

3 – 5 years’ experience delivering complex technical projects

Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead scrum ceremonies and meetings

Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC)

What separates the best from the rest?

DevOps accreditation from third-party vendors, such as Gearset and Copado

Working in a DevOps team

Salesforce technical knowledge or certifications

Working knowledge of non-profit fundraising

Experience in PaaS (Products as a Service)

Creative problem solving

Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships inside and outside KU Endowment.

Ability to adapt to new procedures and technology.

Physical Requirements:

A valid driver’s license.

Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple locations for training, donor meetings, networking, events and/or work-related activities.

Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to directions and safety hazards.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office productivity machinery such as computers, keyboards and a mouse, laptops, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

The person in this position frequently communicates with donors, colleagues, students, and general public. Must be able to communicate with others effectively.

Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 10 pounds

Rare travel requirements can include the following, evenings, weekends, and out of town overnights as a regular part of the job.
