Position

Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for an Information Technology Infrastructure Analyst position. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

The IT Infrastructure Analyst performs professional duties related to the analysis, development, maintenance and administration of computer systems infrastructure to meet business needs of Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer). This class is distinguished from the Information Technology Systems Support Technician class series in that the IT Infrastructure Analyst describes positions with professional and analytical responsibilities where the primary duties include the analysis of system needs, the evaluation of current systems, and the design of solutions to meet the identified system needs, including work which emphasizes information systems security, network/telecommunications systems analysis, PC, peripheral and embedded edge equipment systems analysis, design, and administration and/or system analysis, design, and administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Either: 1. A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other field closely related to the intent of the class.

Or: 2. Four years of full-time paid technical experience in the fields of operating systems analysis and design radio, voice, and data network analysis and design, systems analysis and design; and/or systems engineering or similar field in a multi-platform information systems environment.

Or: 3. Four years of full-time, paid experience in Sacramento Area Sewer District service providing user support in technology, system, software/application and legacy troubleshooting, problem resolution, review of business processes and communication of user requirements/problems to a vendor or statewide system.Note: Education from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other field closely related to the intent of the class, may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. 30 semester units (45 quarter units) equal one year of experience.
