Salary Information: Step 13 ($2,245.50 per month)/ Eff 8/1/25: Increase to Step 14 ($2,335.50 per month)

Part Time/Full Time: Part Time – Full Time Equivalency: 50%

Other Conditions: This position is for an appointment of 11 months; renewal of appointment is dependent on satisfactory performance, program needs, availability of funds, and meeting the eligibility requirements of the assistantship (for details, go to the UHM Graduate Division website Eligibility & Criteria Graduate Division (hawaii.edu).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with event planning, vendor and volunteer coordination, communication, logistics, workshops, and other event-related tasks for the Undergraduate Showcase, Honors New Student Orientation, and Honors Graduation Team.

Assists in organizing other enrichment and community-building events/activities for Honors Students and/or Regents and Presidential Scholars.

Serves as Honors liaison for Regents and Presidential Scholars, including overseeing service hours, conducting surveys, and handling other communications.

Provides academic advising for Honors students.

Provides fellowship advising and run information sessions to recruit and guide prospective student applicants for competitive awards.

Locates content, write, format, and circulate the Honors e-newsletter.

Maintains and update website content for the Honors Program, Undergraduate Showcase, and Scholarships and Fellowships.

Creates content for Honors social media, post to sites, respond to Direct Messages (DMs), and advise on social media strategy

Submits applications for annual SAPFB/ASUH applications and other sources of extramural funding

Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:

Classified degree-seeking student in a Master’s or PhD program in good standing in any field at UH Manoa.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to work as a team with faculty, staff, and students.

Skilled in the use of PC and Mac computers, Zoom, WordPress, Adobe Suite, Canva.

Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google products (e.g., Forms, Docs, Spreadsheet, etc.).

Available in-person on Undergraduate Showcase and Honors Grad Tea dates (which coincide with UH Manoa academic study days) and Honors New Student Orientation (in August).Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in event planning

Experience in conducting workshops, facilitating trainings, and advising.

Experience in communications and social media, including creating newsletters and social media contentTo Apply:
