Job Summary
The Director of Digital Communication is a strategic leader within Achieva’s Advancement team, responsible for driving the organization’s digital presence and engagement. This role develops and oversees multimedia content and marketing campaigns across all digital platforms, including web and social media. Blending creativity with data-driven decision-making, the Director ensures consistent, compelling messaging that deepens audience connection, enhances brand visibility, and mobilizes support—through donations, advocacy, and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive digital communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, including social media, SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
Lead creation and distribution of engaging, on-brand content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others.
Create and manage a strategic social media content calendar to ensure timely, mission-driven messaging.
Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop scalable video and content frameworks that attract, inform, and activate key audiences.
Optimize website content and user experience (UX); coordinate with developers to improve SEO and site performance.
Monitor digital trends and experiment with innovative tools and tactics to enhance engagement and reach.
Track and analyze digital KPIs; prepare regular performance reports with insights and actionable recommendations for leadership and board review.
Ensure brand consistency across all digital channels, including social media, website, and email communications.
Manage email marketing strategy, including audience segmentation, list growth, content creation, and campaign performance.
Support broader marketing and advancement initiatives; contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional communication efforts.
Work closely with the Communications Manager to troubleshoot digital issues, implement sustainable workflows, and uphold IT and brand standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the Advancement team.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For: A digital-savvy, strategic thinker who thrives on storytelling, data, and creating meaningful online experiences that elevate Achieva’s mission and inspire action.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital communications, social media marketing, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in growing and engaging audiences across major social media platforms.
In-depth knowledge of platform algorithms, audience behavior, and current digital trends.
Proficiency in developing and managing paid digital ad campaigns; ability to interpret analytics and optimize performance.
Excellent writing, editing, and overall communication skills tailored to diverse digital platforms.
Hands-on experience with email marketing tools, website content management systems (CMS), and SEO best practices.
Leadership or team management experience is strongly preferred.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
Working knowledge of HTML and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) is a plus.
