Job Description

Provide operations support for Enterprise LAN, Security, Data Center, and Campus Network platforms across North America locations. This role involves installing, configuring, and supporting network WLCs and Access Points, as well as provisioning wireless equipment/AP on DNAC. The ideal candidate will have deep troubleshooting skills on ISE & DNAC and a basic understanding of SDA Fabric controllers and SDA LAN.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and integrate Cisco ISE with wired data, wireless infrastructure, and VPN, including posturing and client provisioning.

Build and analyze ISE rules to comply with client network security policies.

Develop ISE rules scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.

Configure and manage Cisco ISE infrastructure and access policies.

Conduct and coordinate site surveys, develop site plans for total facility coverage.

Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.

Arrange scheduled upgrades and conduct wireless site surveys using spectrum analysis technologies.

Investigate faults in the wireless network and resolve incidents/problems/changes according to established procedures.

Work on service improvement activities and complete them within target dates.

Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.

Collaborate with customers, infrastructure teams, and vendors such as Cisco.

Report network status to key stakeholders.

Essential Skills

Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500s, 9800s) and Cisco Aironet 9100, 4800, 3800, 2800 Access Points.

Strong understanding of Cisco ISE infrastructure and AAA.

Experience implementing Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access), DNAC with Wireless Network Technologies, and Meraki Solutions.

Proficiency with tools like Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, PagerDuty, DataDog, and Thousand Eyes.

Strong understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards.

Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience with analysis tools such as Ekahau and Wireshark.

Deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies, including VLAN, STP, Trunking, and Wireless concepts.

Knowledge of switching technologies: STP, Trunking, EtherChannel, HSRP, VRRP, LACP, and PaGP.

CCNA Wireless Certification.

Experience configuring Cisco Wireless LAN and Lightweight Access Point Solutions.

Strong experience with Cisco ISE models and integration into wireless networks.

Knowledge of AAA protocols such as DIAMETER and RADIUS.

Experience with guest access and Flex Connect on a large scale.

Strong experience with both centralized and local Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.

Understanding of 802.11-based wireless architecture.

Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco Router/Switch and Wireless LAN Hardware products.

Familiarity with wireless security and ensuring secure wireless network deployment.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.

Must Have
