The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following\:
OPTION 1:
5 years experience in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal);
AND
12 months experience in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects
Option 2:
Successful completion of 2 years post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned
AND
12 months experience in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects;
AND
24 months experience in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation).
Option 3\:
12 months experience. as Project Manager 2, 63382 or IT Project Manager 2, 63385.
Or
Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 17. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $50.09 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Office of Information Services
The Office of Information Services (OIS) works to support the business functions and the delivery of health, human, and employment services through the application of information technology. OIS supports the delivery of programs to millions of recipients through the development and round-the-clock operation of automated information systems. What You’ll Do
The Portfolio Management Administrator is the senior manager for the Portfolio Management team and will oversee two direct reports, the Enterprise & Services Manager and the Employment Resources Manager who both supervise teams of IT Project Managers.
As a senior leader in the organization, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in portfolio management and project management principles and techniques.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Leads a team of two IT Managers and sixteen Project Managers to manage IT projects across eleven lines of business within the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Guides project managers as they work with their project team to deliver desired IT outcomes to project sponsors.
Identifies and escalates risks, issues or business concerns to executive leadership.
Assists team members with identification of projects barriers and resolutions.
Ensures projects are properly moved through the established governance process.
Plays a key role in change management.
Serves on governance committees.
Helps formulate technology policy and procedures.
Advises executive leadership on the health of the portfolio.
Schedule\: 8 hour shift, between 7am-6pm as determined in consultation with supervisor, Monday through Friday. This position will be required to work outside normal work hours and scheduled shift in the event of emergencies and service outages.
Travel\: No regular travel expected. This is an in office position and reports to the State Office Tower 5 days a week.
