What we need YOU to do:

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest program administrator in the Director’s Office at our Central Office in Columbus.

Let’s get started.

As Director Logue’s program administrator, you will be his right-hand person by handling a variety of administrative responsibilities including responding to division and program needs, strategic planning, and agency goals. You will serve as liaison between Director Logue and executive staff, local and state government officials, and the public.

You will be counted on in so many ways.

You will research, plan, coordinate, and prepare information for both the Director and the executive staff. You will help to develop policies and procedures relating to customer service and agency responsiveness, helping to keep Ohioans, our customers, always at the forefront of what we do.

You will manage calendars, helping staff schedules run smoothly with appointments, meetings, travel times, and media events. When it comes to meetings with executive staff, you will research and plan these meetings to make sure location and hospitality needs are met.

In the office, you will manage all business and administrative functions, establishing and overseeing maintenance of fiscal controls and authorizing expenditures and purchases. You will conduct interviews and recommend candidates for hire, as well as perform employee performance reviews and prepare professional development plans for their growth within the agency.

· Prepare sensitive and confidential correspondence for the Director and executive staff.

· Handle administrative responsibilities (division/program needs, policies, strategic planning, etc.).

· Research and plan Director’s executive staff meetings.

· Produce correspondence, reports, position papers, spreadsheets, logs, records, and files.

· Represent Director or Director’s Office staff at meetings and conferences.

THIS POSITION IS UNCLASSIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OHIO REVISED CODE 124.11 (A)(9) FOR ADMINISTRATIVE RELATIONSHIP

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
