Position Details:

Average earnings range from $85,000 to $90,000 per year.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday with early morning start times.

Position Purpose:

As a vital member of our food supply chain, food service delivery drivers ensure that products reach our customers in perfect condition and on time. You will represent our company by building lasting relationships with our customers!

Your responsibilities will include driving a tractor trailer or straight truck for local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver food and related products safely and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Engage with customers and co-workers in a professional manner, accurately addressing inquiries.

Work collaboratively within the team to perform any necessary duties that best serve our company.

Conduct required safety checks (e.g., pre/post trip inspections) and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

Document any safety issues or required repairs promptly.

Adhere to all safe driving guidelines and DOT regulations.

Inspect trailers for secure loading and properly strapped freight.

Check quantities of items and confirm customer invoices against loaded products.

Complete all necessary paperwork related to freight accurately and clearly.

Move tractors to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailers when necessary.

Deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes.

Unload products and transport them to designated storage areas.

Perform checks for damaged goods and follow company policy for removal.

Confirm delivery with customers and collect necessary signatures.

Handle customer payments (cash/checks) when required and manage customer returns effectively.

Ensure that all equipment and freight are securely locked at all times.

Unload any damaged goods and returns, completing related paperwork.

Maintain accurate logs of hours of service per federal and state regulations.

Keep the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers clean and organized.

At the end of your shift, ensure all equipment is secure and complete any required paperwork.

Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

12+ months of commercial driving experience.

High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.

Valid CDL A license required.

Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (as applicable).

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.

Pass post-offer drug test and background check.

Successful completion of a road test.

Hold a valid DOT Health Card or be able to secure a new one.

Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move/stacks product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights, typically ranging from 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
