ENTRY LEVEL LABORATORY ENGINEER

1 Year long contract with yearly extensions and potential for permanent conversion

10 Days of PTO and Paid Company Holidays

Compensation:

$32/hr to $36/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Healthcare benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, financial protection benefits, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options. 401k retirement account access is offered starting on the 90th day with employer matching after one year of service. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our facility systems operations, equipment calibration, and compliance efforts. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a self-directed environment and can manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Provide assistance with facility systems operations and ensure compliance with internal audits, regulatory inspections, and customer audits.

Facilitate timely and effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in response to audit findings.

Maintain active communication with site Quality teams to address compliance issues and ensure rapid dissemination of critical information to Test Facility Management.

Project Coordination and Documentation:

Participate in the installation and qualification of equipment, including the generation of necessary documentation and the establishment of inventory and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab computer systems.

Assist in writing and reviewing SOPs and deviations and ensure site readiness for inspections through practice evaluations and training.

Archive calibration documents in the appropriate document management system.

Automation and Data Management:

Design and develop automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline processes.

Create custom applications with Microsoft Power Apps to meet specific business needs and enhance user experience.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of automated processes, including flow diagrams and user guides.

Monitor automated workflows adjusting as needed to optimize efficiency.

Develop data visualizations to support informed business decision-making.

Technical Expertise and Collaboration:

Demonstrate technical knowledge in metrology, qualification, and computer system validation within a GxP environment.

Exhibit strong logical thinking and the ability to remain proactive under pressure.

Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when necessary.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an academic or industry setting.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with machine learning or AI tools and frameworks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Excel for data manipulation and reporting.

Familiarity with APIs and integration techniques for connecting various applications.

Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
