What you will be doing:
The Admissions Training Manager has a major impact on the training, preparedness, and development of SDI's Admissions team members and SDI’s focus on contributing to student success and satisfaction. Success in this role means utilizing solid selection and hiring techniques; administering high-value training; and monitoring, assessing, and coaching new Admissions team members, during their first 90 days of employment. The Admissions Training Manager will assist in transitioning new hires to a dedicated team, which reports to an Admissions Manager. The Admissions Training Manager will also assist with re-training existing Admissions team members and participate in department training initiatives as needed. The ability to adapt to different learning styles, communicate effectively, and cultivate a positive, ethical, compliant, and productive work environment will further enable your success. In addition to responsibilities surrounding initial onboarding and training, the Admissions Training Manager will manage the output of these new employees, helping to support team members through re-training, reporting, and assessment of product knowledge.
Hires, trains, and develops staff, ensuring appropriate application of the recruitment methodology in conjunction with human resources department
Trains and manages new hires to established key metrics and accountabilities during their first 90 days of employment, or until deemed ready to assign to regular team
Develops, implements, and administers training materials/programs and assessments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Collaborates with management and subject matter experts to procure information, content, and resources for training materials
Creates a psychologically safe learning environment, fostering open communication and promoting active participation among participants
Creates and maintains comprehensive training records, guides, manuals, and procedures to facilitate effective learning experiences
Ensures training data is current and accurate in training systems and that all training materials are reviewed and approved by SDI Compliance committee prior to use/dissemination
Coordinates training logistics for in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions, including scheduling sessions, booking applicable rooms, and managing training materials
Evaluates training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and makes modifications for improvement
Conducts phone call observations, identifies and coaches to strengths and weaknesses
Stays current with SDI’s program offerings and related industries, regulatory requirements, company best practices, and innovations in training and development
Documents each employee’s progress during first 90-days to position employee for success with progressive development at transition to new Admissions Manager
Participates in interviews and identifies prospective Admissions Representatives to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
Stays current with the various platforms used by the Admissions team, including RingCentral, CRM, LiveChat, and others as needed
Conducts new hire meetings, communicating weekly and monthly goals, program updates, compliance requirements, and other SDI departmental information
Conducts one-on-one meetings with each new hire on a regular basis to ensure regulations, standards and processes are being adhered to for overall departmental growth including feedback from reviewing live or recorded calls, notes captured in CRM, and overall metrics
Works productively with all SDI employees and departments to ensure a positive learning environment and student-centered philosophy
Builds effective relationships across departments and creates an environment of accountability and excellence in hiring, training, and development
Assists in the recurring and refresher training of Admissions Representatives, as needed

What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Four years or more experience in admissions/student enrollment within a higher education institution
Three years or more experience as an Admissions/Student Enrollment Manager or Admissions Trainer of a team
Proven training experience, particularly in higher education admissions, sales, customer service, or similar setting
Proficiency in creating effective training materials and participating in training analysis and development
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate persuasively and influence outcomes
Advanced skills in the use of computerized systems and databases
Organized, self-starter, with an effective ability to multitask
Knowledge of and commitment to regulatory and college enrollment policies, standards, and procedures
Results-oriented leader
