Position Summary:
The Group Controller reports directly to the CFO and is a strategic member of the plant and financial leadership team, and is an advisor to the CFO, Regional Controllers, Plant Manager, and Operations. The Controller oversees 4 to 5 direct reports and supports 5 sites providing data, analysis, and guidance to improve plant operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a team comprised of regional controllers and consolidates overall team performance.
Providing financial forecasts weekly/monthly/annually and working with plant leadership to flex operating costs based on revenue changes.
Establishing and maintaining standard products costing, including material cost, labor rates, fixed and variable overhead rates. Analyzing, understanding, and communicating variances. Work with team to recommend solutions and resolve variances.
Coordinating and leading the annual budget cycle for each location using provided tools and templates. Preparing files for consolidation and completes year-over-year analysis and reporting.
Completing daily and month-end finance activities. Providing files for consolidations and completes year-over-year analysis and reporting.

Ensuring integrity of plant balance sheet. Completing and directing account reconciliations.
Leading, mentoring, and supporting plant accounting team and others.
Providing project-based support and ad hoc reporting as required.
Ensuring compliance with internal control and corporate policies/procedures in order to provide regular financial reporting and protect company assets.
Providing support for internal and external audits as needed.
Additional projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 6+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge and experience with product costing, standard costs, and variance analysis.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to managing multiple project simultaneously.
Highly proficient in GAAP and working knowledge of local and state tax requirements and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Excel, MS Office, and ERP experience.
