The Production Director will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities on the assembly line to ensure efficient production processes, quality control, and timely delivery of products. This role requires a deep understanding of both automotive and aviation production standards, as well as strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement processes, processes, policies and KPIs to support the creation of a high-rate production capability at SNC

Oversee daily operations of the high-volume assembly line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards

Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless production processes

Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and assembly line workers

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members

Resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production flow

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components

Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

Extensive equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the automotive or aviation industries

Proven track record of managing high-volume assembly lines with a focus on efficiency and quality

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, visual factory, and other continuous improvement methodologies

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Proficient in using production management software and tools

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related disciplines

Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $167,490.31 - $230,299.19. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
