Our client is seeking a senior-level management professional to lead and grow their Charlotte Office. The Manager will oversee daily operations, manage engineers and designers, resolve project and technical issues, and drive business development within the investor-owned, municipal, and electric cooperative utility market
Job Responsibilities -
- Manage office operations, including staff performance, budgets, schedules, and project execution.
- Develop new business, maintain client relationships, and support the company"s strategic vision.
- Conduct technical reviews, prepare project proposals, and oversee bid specifications.
- Provide quality control on substation protection and control designs and PE-sealed construction packages.
- Oversee resource planning, hiring needs, and career development for team members.
- Ensure cross-discipline collaboration, resolve design conflicts, and support construction activities.

- Bachelor"s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (MBA, PMP, or Master"s in Engineering Management preferred).
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE), with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
- 10+ years of substation and relaying experience preferred.
- 5+ years in engineering consulting and team management.
- Strong business development, client management, and networking skills.
- Experience with engineering and design software (AutoCAD, CymTCC, SEL Software, Omicron Testing Universe).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
