We seek a detail-oriented and reliable Raw Materials Laboratory Technician to support our Quality Control operations. This role involves hands-on work in a cleanroom environment, performing analytical and physical testing on raw materials and compressed gas systems, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with samples and instruments, and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, sample, and dispense raw materials in a cleanroom environment
Perform sampling and testing of compressed gas systems and compressed gas tankers
Conduct routine laboratory tests, including pH, Conductivity, Nitrate Identification, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), and Appearance
Accurately record and report test results; promptly escalate quality anomalies
Calibrate or verify the calibration of laboratory instruments/devices before use
Manage sample handling and disposal according to established procedures
Maintain laboratory inventory, cleanliness, and proper housekeeping standards
Ensure excellent customer service and professional communication with internal departments and external clients
Participate in required training and maintain compliance with all pertinent regulatory agency guidelines (e.g., GMP, SOPs, OSHA)
Engage in cross-training to support other lab testing or sampling functions as needed
This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:
No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer, etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.
Associate's degree with 1+ years of experience working with raw materials, laboratory testing, or in a cleanroom/GMP environment preferred OR
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 6 months experience working with raw materials, laboratory testing, or in a cleanroom/GMP environment
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and documentation practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Additional Details:
The position can be full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm or 12 pm-8 pm. Candidates living within commutable distance of Cambridge, MA, are encouraged to apply.
