Role Overview
This role involves a unique blend of sales, marketing, and administrative responsibilities to drive business growth in the textiles and clothing industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in selling Shandong Ruyi's textiles, fabrics, and products while supporting the growth of the iconic British fashion brand Aquascutum through licensing and business development. This position requires someone who is entrepreneurial, highly organized, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Marketing (Textile and Clothing Business Development)
Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell Shandong Ruyi's textiles, fabrics, and products.
Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities through:
Direct marketing campaigns.
Leveraging personal and professional networks.
Attending industry trade fairs and exhibitions.
Conducting online research to identify and approach potential customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to secure long-term partnerships.
Assist in creating and delivering marketing materials, presentations, and proposals to promote products and services.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
2. Aquascutum Business Support (50% at the Start)
Work closely with the CEO (London) and CSO (Hong Kong) to support the development and expansion of Aquascutum through licensing partnerships.
Assist in identifying, negotiating, and signing new licensees in key markets.
Manage existing licensees, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and critical time paths.
Coordinate activities across licensees, including product development, marketing strategies, and business operations.
Conduct regular checks on licensee business aspects, including sales performance, marketing efforts, and operational efficiency.
Provide administrative support to the leadership team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between regions.
3. Administrative Support
Maintain and update records of client interactions, sales leads, and project progress.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Coordinate travel, meetings, and trade show logistics for leadership and team members as required.
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation of business activities.
Requirements
Experience and Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the fashion, textiles, or clothing industry.
Proven experience in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Strong knowledge of the textile and fashion industry, with an understanding of licensing models being a significant advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM tools and marketing platforms.
Knowledge of social media and online marketing strategies.
