Job Description

Yard goat drivers are responsible for moving trailers around the truck yard123. Their job duties include:

Using yard mules to move trailers around the truck yard, in and out of loading docks1.

Securing trailers to the machine, ensuring that they are safely attached, and then moving the trailer as directed2.

Conducting pre and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading cargo, and conducting other typical job duties1.

Inspecting yard tractor equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and for defects before and after trips; submitting a report indicating truck condition3.

Assisting warehouse workers in loading and unloading truck3.
