JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Math and/or Computer Science Teacher
Peabody High School
Term of Employment: Two hundred (200) days contract
Immediate Supervisor: Building Level Principal
Qualifications: Tennessee Licensure Mathematics Grades 7-12 and/or Computer Science Grades 7-12
Evaluation: Conducted by the building level administrators and Central Office supervisory staff.

Have the ability to understand and follow instructions precisely
Have the ability to exercise tact, discretion and confidentiality
Have the ability to work with students
Have the ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Planning and implementing the daily program using current state standards
Planning and preparing the learning environment, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
Supervise the classroom
Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the District at all times
Treat all students with dignity and respect
Supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of students. Maintain a neat and organized classroom.
Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.

Must have the ability to:
In case of an emergency, must be able to lift or assist in lifting a student in need
Work outdoors in any variety of weather
Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping
Have mobility required to ensure the safety of students
Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistent supervision of students
Provide extra assistance to students with special needs, such as non-English-speaking students or those with physical and mental disabilities
