Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Hauler is responsible for moving heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Hauler must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life Main Activities
Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
Participate in routine maintenance
Workplace safety
Maintain inventory
Knowledge
Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
Knowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipment
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage
Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
Knowledge of record keeping system
Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
Knowledge of proper chaining of all machinery
Skills
ability to operate seven axel trucks in a safe and responsible manner
ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records and logs

Minimum Requirements
Class A CDL w/ Air brake endorsement and up to date medical card
Must be registered with the Clearinghouse
Hiring will be contingent on passing a drug screen and a
Motor Vehicle Report Record check
May require out of town work
