Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
Little Ruby’s Café, renowned for its vibrant Australian-inspired dishes and warm hospitality, is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our Commissary Kitchen team in NYC. The Commissary Kitchen plays a vital role in supporting all Little Ruby’s Café locations by ensuring seamless preparation and delivery of high-quality ingredients and dishes.

The Role
As a sous chef, you’ll help oversee kitchen operations at the commissary, ensuring the efficient preparation and distribution of ingredients and menu items to our locations. This is a key leadership role, perfect for a motivated culinary professional with experience in high-volume environments.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
Prepare and oversee the production of food items for all Little Ruby’s Café locations.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and uphold all food safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory, assist with ordering, and control food costs during evening shifts.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and day teams to ensure seamless operations across shifts.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle evening operations efficiently.
Expertise in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
