Job Title: CMM Programmer

Overview:
A leading and growth-focused manufacturing company is seeking a CMM Programmer to join its quality team. This position plays a key role in ensuring product compliance and precision through expert-level operation and programming of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). It offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment supporting quality initiatives across internal departments and supplier/customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS and Calypso software
Follow established quality system and laboratory procedures
Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
Conduct inspections using a range of precision instruments including micrometers, calipers, profilometers, optical comparators, and electronic gages
Document inspection results, perform Gage R&R and capability studies, and complete part layouts
Analyze SPC data, identify trends, and assist in continuous improvement efforts
Participate in internal and external audits (product, safety, process, 5S, etc.)
Manage nonconforming product documentation and resolution processes
Communicate with suppliers on quality issues, corrective actions, and PPAP requirements
Support APQP, sorting/containment activities, and quality alert creation
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot gaging equipment
Use ERP system for inventory adjustments, scrap transactions, and RMAs
Report and track key performance metrics
Qualifications:
Technical certificate or equivalent education/experience (minimum 3–6 months relevant work experience)
Strong experience in CMM programming with PC-DMIS and Calypso is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using ERP systems
Solid understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
Strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, and basic statistics
Preferred: training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Willingness to work overtime when necessary
