JOB SUMMARY:
The Forklift Operator/Laborer performs general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, moving, and re-palletizing materials in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate assigned forklift equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Understand and follow all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate safety regulations and policies.
Complete daily equipment inspection reports and notify supervisor of any problems.
Gather materials together in logical order and arrange in locations for shipment.
Load and unload materials on various styles of trucks.
Work with Supervisors, CSR’s, and Sales to ensure the accuracy of every load.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior forklift operation experience required.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to read and understand detailed instructions on picking and/or loading tickets.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
· The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
· Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
· Capable of climbing in and out of assigned equipment repetitively.
· Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
