Our clients in the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force and Federal Aviation have adopted our solutions for cybersecurity acquisition, implementation, and operational risk management challenges while planning for emerging security threats. As technologically sophisticated attacks are increasing, we are looking to grow our team of laser-focused cybersecurity engineers.
Overview:
The Cybersecurity Engineer II is a Consultant role. We are seeking a candidate who has in-depth knowledge of how the internet works, computer networking, computing, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
Independently conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud infrastructure.
Analyze and interpret security logs and alerts.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
Implement security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions, to safeguard our environment.
Perform security reviews and audits of cloud service providers to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with client development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure secure coding practices.
Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous research and professional development.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
At least 2 years of hands-on experience applying cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and strategies in real-world scenarios
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), especially in DoD or federal environments
Practical experience with security scanning tools (e.g., vulnerability scanning, SIEM) and interpreting their results
Understanding of container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
Understanding of microservice architectures and associated security principles
Understanding in DevSecOps methodologies and their practical application
Experience with non-RMF security compliance frameworks, such as the Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide (CSEIG)
Nice-to-have skills:
CISSP- Certified information systems security professional
CompTIA Security+
GICSP - Cyber Security Professional
GCED - Certified Enterprise Defender
GSEC - The GIAC Security Essentials
Cloud+
Network+
PenTest+
Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one quickly
Knowledge of secure cloud-native infrastructure and standard operating principles
Knowledge of hybrid environments infrastructure and operating principles
Knowledge with Zero Trust architecture and its practical application
Experience in defense contracting, especially working with sensitive or classified information
Experience with container technologies
Experience working with microservices architecture
Experience with DevSecOps methodologies
Experience with cloud network infrastructure
